Irish Trampoline Intervarsity wins 2019 SSI Event of the Year Award

At the recent Student Sport Ireland Network Event held in Faithlegg House Hotel in Waterford, the Irish Trampoline Intervarsity hosted by University College Cork Trampoline Club was awarded the SSI Event of the Year.

The event took place in the Mardyke Arena on the UCC Campus in November 16th-18th last year with seven colleges and universities taking part. The organising committee were awarded the hosting of the event in June 2018 and put together five months of hard working and planning to run a fantastic event.


This year saw a total of 24 competitions run, with 165 competitors taking part under the watchful eye of 16 judges sourced for the event. The competition saw 60 medals presented during the three- day event, with performances and routines taking place over 14 hours during the three days.


A strong committee put a firm financial plan in place for the event with all extra revenue generated during the event going to a charity of choice namely the Simon Community, who received almost €500 from the committee.


Student Sport Ireland President Carmel Lynch presented the winner’s trophy to UCC Trampoline Club committee members Ciara Judge and Aoife Collins.
