Where are the Games Being Held? The 2025 World University Games will be hosted by the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany from 16th – 27th July.

Team Ireland: We expect that a team of approximately Irish 20-30 performance student athletes will compete at the Rhine Ruhr Games with students possibly competing in Archery, Athletics, Diving, Swimming, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Tennis.

Looking to Compete? Performance student athletes looking to be considered for selection are encouraged to directly contact their NGB Performance Director to register their expression of interest to be considered for selection to compete at the Games.
Selection Criteria. To be considered for selection all performance athletes will be required as a minimum to meet the selection criteria set by individual NGBs. Please see below the selection criteria published to date by individual NGBs. Criteria will be published on both NGB and SSI web sites as they are approved by the NGB and SSI.
