World University Games Students named on Team Northern Ireland for Commonwealth Games

Student Sport Ireland would like to congratulate all the athletes who have been selected to represent Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia from April 4th to 15th next.

Among the squad of 88 are five former members of Irish teams from the last two World University Games. Three swimmers from the 2017 World University Games in Taipei are included namely Calum Bain, Curtis Coulter, and Jordan Sloan and they will be joined by coach Paul Dennis who was also part of the coaching team for the past two World University Games.

On the athletics track team Northern Ireland includes Emma Mitchell, who finished in 7th position in the 10,000m at the World University Games in Taipei last August, and Adam McMullan who represented Ulster University in the Long Jump at the 2015 World University Games in Gwanju.
