After this mornings heats in athletics, Paul Byrne has progressed to the semi-final of the 400m hurdles which takes place tomorrow. While later this morning, Niamh Whelan runs in the women’s 100m semi-final at 12 noon.

Across in the pool, Darragh Greene progressed from the heats of the 50m breastroke which sees him compete in the semi-final at 13:30 this afternoon.
