Team Ireland at World University Winter Games

The 2023 FISU World University Winter Games got underway last weekend with the opening ceremony in Lake Placid, USA. Ireland has a team of five alpine skiers taking part in competition this week on Whiteface Mountain.

The Irish team comprises of two sets of siblings, with sisters Elle Muphy (University of Nevada-Reno) and Kailey Murphy (University of Colorado Boulder) and the brother and sister duo of Emma Ryan and Matt Ryan who are both students in Harvard University. The final member of the team is Zacary Roman who studies in Babson College. The team has an experienced winter sports man in charge as 3-time Winter Olympian Seamus O’Connor is the team manager.

January 17th – Elle Murphy, Kailey Murphy and Emma Ryan competing in Giant Slalom

January 18th – Matt Ryan competing in the Giant Slalom

January 20th – Elle and Kailey Ryan competing in the Slalom
