Student Sport Ireland is running a charity event from Friday December 4th to 11th called the “SSI North Pole DASH” to raise funds for the Children’s Health Foundation in Crumlin.
What is the SSI North Pole Dash?
The concept is for students, sports teams, sports officers and staff in all colleges and also the general public to walk/jog/run/cycle/swim some kilometres during the seven days and to log them on a fitness tracker such as Strava or MyZone and share the km’s with SSI. All kilometres will be added up during the week and Santa and his sleigh will move on a virtual map from Ireland to the North Pole on the 6,506km journey. Everyone will be asked for a minimum donation of €10 that will go to the Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. This is our way of trying to bring the magic of Christmas to some of the children who will spend the festive period in hospital.
