SSI/SII High Performance Panel Discussion Webinar Series – Episode 2

Student Sport Ireland High Performance Committee are delighted to bring episode 2 of our webinar series of discussions around high performance sport students, showing how talented athletes across a number of sports, mix student life and training at the highest levels, nationally and internationally.

The series was developed in partnership with the Sport Ireland Institute, who play a huge role in developing the careers of athletes and also working on how to promote and develop programmes to benefit the student athletes dual career of competing and studying.

This episode is presented by David Gillick, a former student of Dublin Institute of Technology (now Technological University of Dublin), two time European Indoor Gold medallist in 400metres (2005 Madrid, 2007 Birmingham).

Joining David for the second episode is Cormac Comerford, a student of Technological University of Dublin who competes internationally as an alpine skier, Aoife McNicholl, who studies in Dublin City University and is a member of the Irish Powerchair football team and by University College Dublin student Lena Tice, who is capped over 100 times at senior level for the Irish International Hockey team, and is a member of the team who qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
