The winner of the 2019 Student Sport Ireland Leadership Award is Ciara Judge from University College Cork, after her incredible passion and energy for UCC Trampoline Club saw her honoured on a national level for her leadership in the club.

Ciara who is a third-year genetics student in University College Cork captained UCC trampoline club in the 2018-19 academic year and has been involved in the club for her three years in college. During her twelve months as captain Ciara has been very active both on and off the trampoline. She reinstated the outdoor bounces competition, Ciara was one of the main organisers off the Munster Open and in bringing the Irish Trampoline Intervarsity to UCC.

The club had its most successful year ever under the captaincy of Judge, becoming Munster champions, Irish Intervarsity Champions and ISTO Champions which is a competition involving competitors from Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Under the stewardship of Ciara, she has re-established the mix of fun and competition in the club and not only does she compete but also coaches and judges at competitions. Ciara Judge was due to make her elite debut in February 2019 but suffered a broken ankle two weeks out from the event while training.
