The 7s Ladies take home 7th at the World University Championships in Marseille

Team Ireland travelled to Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, to compete at the FISU World University Rugby 7s Championships 2024 from June 8th-10th.

This was the first time Ireland was represented at the FISU Rugby 7s championships, with the players finding the opportunity beneficial, enjoyable and an important part of their rugby pathway.

The team was drawn in Group B for the tournament, which saw them take on France, India, Canada and Australia in a series of gripping games held in the south of France.

The Irish student team took home 7th place out of 10 teams. Congratulations girls!
