2019 World University Games

The 2019 World University Games will be held in the Italilan city of Naples from the 3rd to the 14th July. The Games will be 30th Summer Universiade and will celebrate 60 years since the first Games were held in Turin, Italy in 1959. The programme will include 18 sports, 170 countries and approximately 12,000 participants.

It is envisaged that an Irish delegation of approx. 100 athletes and officials will travel to Naples for the Games.

Registration for Irish athletes will be open between the 1st and 28th February 2019. If you require any information in the meantime please contact Student Sport Ireland Development Manager Ciarán O hIarnáin at ciaran@studentsport.ie.

Selection Criteria will be posted here for each sport once it has been agreed with the relevant National Governing Bodies (NGBs).
